The Castelli commuting jacket is designed to offer maximum functionality on the bike and make you look great once you arrive at work. We wanted this jacket to offer maximum visibility during night rides, while avoiding looking ridiculous with all sorts of silver reflective strips when you arrive at the office. So we applied a nearly imperceptible reflective print across the entire surface of the jacket. You don't really see them when you're riding during the day or wearing this jacket every day, but at night, the jacket reflects distinctive patterns to make you stand out. We didn't stop at reflectivity. The jacket has a 20,000 mm water column that prevents water from penetrating. And the 20,000 MVTR breathability rating indicates that it allows a good amount of moisture to escape. But this jacket is especially distinguished by its ventilation. It has a gaiter at the waist that you can close to protect yourself from the wind or leave open to let in some air from below if you want a bit of freshness. This inner gaiter allows us to give it a straight cut, for a much cleaner and more refined look than a jacket with creases caused by internal elastic.
