It's official: the IRONMAN 70.3 Versailles will finally take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026.
Initially scheduled for July 12, the very first edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Versailles had to be postponed due to high temperatures and constraints related to the mobilization of health and safety resources.
A few months later, the date is now set: on October 11, 2026, Versailles will finally host its first IRONMAN 70.3!
For the Triathlon Store teams, this new date marks the return of an event we eagerly anticipate.
A highly anticipated first edition
The excitement around this new event was spectacular from the moment registrations opened. The event sold out in less than three hours, making Versailles one of the most anticipated triathlon events of the 2026 season.
And for good reason: it's hard to imagine a more spectacular setting for an IRONMAN 70.3.
On the program:
- 1.9 km swim in the legendary "Pièce d'Eau des Suisses"
- 90 km bike ride through Versailles and the Chevreuse Valley
- 21.1 km run through the streets of Versailles
- An exceptional finish on Avenue de Paris, in front of the Palace of Versailles
In total, 113 kilometers of racing in one of France's most iconic settings.
From July 12 to October 11: a new challenge for athletes
This date change inevitably alters plans.
After a preparation initially structured to peak in July, athletes now have several additional weeks to prepare for this event.
But an IRONMAN 70.3 organized in October is not prepared in exactly the same way as a summer race.
Water temperature, weather, wetsuit choice, bike equipment, running apparel, nutrition, and hydration management: race conditions could be very different from those initially expected in July.
At Triathlon Store, our teams will be there to support athletes in this new phase of preparation.
Triathlon Store still committed to IRONMAN 70.3 Versailles
The postponement of the event does not change our motivation.
With our Parisian stores and a team composed of practitioners and triathlon enthusiasts, this IRONMAN 70.3 organized at the gates of Paris is naturally a special event for us.
Several members of the Triathlon Store team are also preparing for this race and will be at the start on October 11.
So we will have a few extra weeks to talk training, equipment, nutrition, and race strategy with you!
Alexandre Caille, an athlete to follow
Among the athletes we will be particularly following: Alexandre Caille, who will represent the Triathlon Store community.
After his victory at IRONMAN 70.3 Tours, Alexandre will arrive in Versailles with high ambitions.
On a course that promises to be as spectacular as it is demanding, we can't wait to see him perform.
