Having been created for racing in the rain, the Gabba offered excellent waterproofing at the expense of breathability. If you’re not riding in the rain, then we can offer you superior breathability and a jacket that’s better suited for dry conditions. The secret lies in Castelli’s Ristretto Technology. Through our engineered air permeability solution, we create fabrics that are mostly windproof but allow a very small amount of air to pass through the fabric, helping to wick away sweat and keep you drier. How much air? We named this jacket DO.DI.CI., which means “twelve” in Italian, because it offers 12 times more air permeability than the original Gabba. It’s like the difference between drying your bib shorts in a cold, damp room versus in a light breeze. The fabric is extremely stretchy and provides an incomparable fit. What if it rains? The fabric will not protect you from more than a few splashes from the road, but you can put an Ultra W Rain Cape or a Squall Shell W Jacket in the center pocket if there's a risk of rain.
