Having been created for racing in the rain, the Gabba offered excellent waterproofing at the expense of breathability. If you don't cycle in the rain, then we can offer you superior breathability and a jacket better suited for dry weather. The secret lies in Castelli's Ristretto technology. Thanks to our technical air permeability solution, we create fabrics that are primarily windproof but allow a very small amount of air to pass through the fabric, to wick away your perspiration and keep you drier. How much air? We named this jacket DO.DI.CI., which means "twelve" in Italian, because it offers 12 times more air permeability than the old Gabba. It's like the difference between drying your short bib shorts in a cold, damp room rather than exposed to a light breeze. The fabric is extremely stretchy and gives you an incomparable fit. What if it rains? The fabric won't protect you if you're exposed to more than a few splashes from the road, but you can slip an Ultra Rain Cape or a Squall Shell Jacket into the center pocket in case it might rain.
