Vega Carbon is a new lightweight, powerful, and innovative running shoe designed for and chosen by the most demanding runners and pro-peloton riders, with an ergonomic design, low stack height, and strategic material mapping.
Important note: Product used by our team, you can choose one size smaller than your usual Fizik size. The neoprene inner shoe is narrow, so loosen the BOAs as much as possible to put on the shoes. The inner shoe will be easier to put on after the 3rd use.
Vega Carbon is our latest top-tier road racing shoe designed from the sole up to prioritize the performance of riders and pro-racers at the front of the peloton. Featuring a highly rigid integrated outsole, an innovative and ultra-breathable upper construction, a revised shape, and a more ergonomic fit, Vega meets all demands in terms of lightness, high performance, and efficient power transfer, and is designed to specifically complement modern racing bike geometries, rider positions, and riding styles.
A NATURAL SHAPE AND A NEW
Over the past few years, geometry and body position have changed a lot. For this reason, the contact points between riders and their bikes have had to evolve accordingly. With Vega, we introduce a brand new shape, a straighter axis, and a reduced drop to achieve a more natural feeling while pedaling. Vega's extended toe box provides more room and allows the foot to stretch fully, providing an ergonomic fit and improving comfort on high-intensity rides, whether that means stage races or weekly training.
TOOLS ON THE INSIDE
Vega is equipped with a fully integrated carbon outsole that provides increased rigidity while decreasing stack height. By using this advanced construction technique, the outsole is actually inside the shoe and hidden by the shoe's upper, which allows us to reduce stack height in the cleat area and provide full ergonomic medial foot support. The anatomical shape and reduced drop prioritize stability and foot support, resulting in more efficient energy transfer.
FIT, FABRICS AND FEATURES
The Vega's upper features strategic material mapping, using different materials in different areas depending on the specific characteristic required: breathable where more ventilation is needed, supportive where comfort is a top priority. For breathability and weight savings, we coupled Aeroweave woven fabric with a thin, translucent mesh to create an even lighter shoe that doesn't lose its original toughness. Then, a foot-wrapping bootie made of perforated Airprne material ensures greater comfort and a pressure-free fit, from race days to big rides in the mountains.
COMFORT REGULATION
The instep and midfoot are separately adjustable for a customized fit with a dual Li2 BOA system. Two separate BOA dials connected to panels wrapped around the midfoot mean riders can fine-tune the shoe to their foot shape, ensuring lasting support.
